Dubrovzkan Forces

Description

All right, here are my infamous communists, conquerors of Gomboston, soldiers of the People's Republic of Dubrovzka.

Prizyvnik: Conscripts, the regular foot soldiers of the PRD, the most common trooper in the Dubrovzkan army. Usually conscripted from the peasantary or other easily replacable positions, Dubrovzkan doctrines don't handle them very elegantly and most of them are used to soften up the enemy for the Gvardiyas or to overwhelm the enemy. Due to their expanadble role, the mortality rate is the highest among all Etiarien armies and their equipment is the least uniformed. Whenever a trooper get a steel helmet or just a silk hat, Dubrovzkan weapons or just looted foreign ones, suffice ammo or just a clip is entireally based on one's luck. Despite these conditions, Prizyvnik's are brave and strong in spirit as the Dubrovzkan high command puts the emphasis on morale rather on organization in Prizyvnik ranks.

Gvardiya: Guards, the elite of the Dubrovzkan army. While they still cannot rival the elite units of other nations, such as Chedrihan Grenadiers, in quality, they can in quantity. Gvardiyas are those Prizyvniks who manage to weather the storm and live long enough to be promoted. Once that happened, the life of soldiery changes a bit for the promoted. The equipment is superior compared to the other Dubrovzkan soldiers, so does the supplying priorities and they are the first Etiarien soldiers with body armour and on the contrary of Prizyvnik doctrines, Gvardiyas are more organized and coordinated with more care than their inferiors. Inspired by Gombostonian doctrines, Gvardiyas are often used to break through enemy lines or destroy separated critical objectives on the battlefield.

Ofitser: Leaders of man, father of their unit, Ofitsers are carefully selected and educated politically to keep their unit in line and make them understand the weight of their - often suicidal - duty. Because of this Dubrovzkan Ofitsers are really charismatic, inspiring and well spoken for soldiers, however the problems start when the leadership skills are ignored in the recruiting process lessening a unit's potential. Because of this, Ofitsers tend to follow their superior's orders to the letter, so individual thinking and flexible adapting to a situation is really rare among the Dubrovzkan chain of command making them rather predictable. However since the Dubrovzkan doctrines usually involve the use of brute force and overwhelming numbers this predictableness grants very little advantage to the PRD's enemies.

Voditel: Drivers of all sorts of ground vehicles, Voditels are usually recruited from those who had a driving licence before and mechanics. Since the Dubrovzkan army rarely maintains field repair stations and specialists to fix ground vehicles, it's up to the Voditels' resourcefulness and skills to make their own improvised repairs on the field from literally scraps.

Letchik: Pilots of the People's Air Force the bold dare devils who have the courage and abilities to fly the primitive or rather unpractical planes of the PRD. Dubrovzkan planes are mass produced with little regard for personal comfort, overly complicated engineering or proper lining, which is why Letchiks are usually wear really warm and sturdy clothing to compensate the freezing temperatures at a few thousant meters height.

Vrach: The second unisex position in the Dubrovzkan army (aside Letchiks) Vraches are the field medics of the People's Liberation Army. Recruited from medical students, Vraches are relatively young and inexperienced compared to proper doctors, but just as the Prizyvniks they are expandable enough to roam freely, unarmed on the battlefields dragging people back from the grave with their crude field surgery. While most nation honours the sanctity of field medics and avoid shooting them, armies such as Gombostonian Imperial Army have shoot every Vrach on sight sometimes even in a greater priority than Prizyvniks forcing the PRD to abandon the use of Vraches on the field in it's conflicts with Gomboston, but those who did survived the war are usually destined to became the best surgeons of Etiarien.

I've been re-examining these army forces pictures you have and it has made me interested in foing one (or many) of my own. Plus I will soon have the means to do digital artwork, so I wanted to make it one of my early exercises to make myself acustom to digital art.
